Dry Electrostatic Precipitators

With BETH® Dry Electrostatic Precipitator Filters it is possible to separate finest dust particles from process gases up to a temperature of 420°C by artificial electric charging. Therefore it is mostly used for hot-gas de-dusting of incineration plants and in metal production.

Why BETH® dry electric filters?

  • Low head loss (ca. 2.5 mbar)
  • Continuous separation process
  • Absolutely low maintenance
  • Suitable for gas temperatures up to 420°C
  • Robust construction
  • Individual adjustment
  • Quick and low-prized assembly through pre-installed components
  • High separation grade
  • High energy efficiency
  • High availability
  • High durability
  • High operational safety
  • Uncomplicated spare parts service

An expansion of the electrostatic precipitator by additional plant components, such as fan, sound absorber, pipeline and chimney is possible at any time.

BETH Electrostatic Precipitators Functional Principal

BETH Electrostatic Precipitator Function

Functional Principal:

The dust-laden process gas enters the electrostatic precipitator horizontally and is brought to a consistent flow pattern through distribution of gas throughout the entire filter profile. Through the discharge electrodes positioned between the collecting plates, an electric field is built up by means of high- voltage, and the dust particles electrically charged. On their way through the electric field, the electrically charged particles are transported to the collecting electrodes through the electric field intensities where they agglomerate with the already separated dust particles and are tapped off through the drop hammers. The tapped off dust layer falls into the filter hopper and is discharged via the dust extraction system. The cleaned gas leaves the filter through the fan hood.
